SEASON TO BE CHEERFUL is a programme of work we are running for the third year in succession, following four successful deliveries of the programme in 2005 and 2006 with Formby, Birkenhead and Stoke, where over 3,000 children and young people took part in workshops and performance events. This year UV will deliver workshops and performance events throughout Birkenhead and the Wirral to 800+ children and young people. UV has partnered with Wirral Music Education to deliver Season To Be Cheerful and M Power for the last two years. This work will be completed in May 2008.

Commissioned by popular demand, the workshop has been compiled and produced by the founder members of Urban Voice. It is the third stage of a programme to develop Gospel Style Carol singing for the more popular carols in every school, college, community choirs and groups all over the world.

These sessions provide:

* material and fun teaching tools for all facilitators and teachers

* much opportunity for solo singing as well as group work

The rooms and venues where these songs are performed brighten and all singers involved will have their confidence levels boosted.
